The draft of National Disability Strategy was discussed
On Monday, June 21 the meeting was held under  chairmanship of Pro Hamidullah Farooqi the Acting Minister of MMD, on the National Disability Strategy from (2020-2030) was discussed.
Pro Farooqi mentioned the National Disability Strategy as one of the most significant  national documents and stated that many challenges and problems of people with disabilities will be solved in next ten years by finalization and implementation of this draft.
The strategy has been developed with coordination and cooperation of relevant institutions and has 15 important objectives in case of empowerment and participation of people with disabilities in social, political, economic, sports and cultural activities. Moreover, including of people with disabilities in important sectors and programs, empowerment and social participation and support in governance, coordination and monitoring are the main principles, which this strategy has been developed on this principles.
Consequently, this strategy will be sent in near future to the presidential cabinet meeting.
It is important to mention that Madam Sabri Andar the Deputy Minister of Plans and Coordination, Jamilah Nooristani the Deputy Minister of Supporting and Providing Service and other officials of MMD were also present.
